General Purpose of the Summer Program:
To orient new grade 6 students to the culture and model of GMS through two weeks of summer day-camp programming and to build key student relationships between grade levels. New students are introduced to GMS routines and procedures, relationships with staff and students, application of key GMS expectations of excellence in a low stakes environment will be elements of the summer experience. The two week day camp also helps students to engage some academic and other skills while also providing a “summer camp” experience.
Summer Leadership Camp Program:
Gonzaga Middle School gratefully acknowledges the Winnipeg Foundation for its past grants in support of its summer program! Support from the community is essential to helping us to meet the educational needs of our students.
