General Purpose of the Summer Program:

To orient new grade 6 students to the culture and model of GMS through two weeks of summer day-camp programming. For example: GMS routines and procedures, relationships with staff and students, application of key GMS expectations of excellence in a low stakes environment will be elements of the summer experience. It also helps students to engage some academic and other skills while also providing a “summer camp” experience.

Summer Leadership Camp Program:

Grade 7 and 8 students will also have an additional week to develop team skills, learn skills related to being away from home, and be exposed to activities that will enrich the grade 7 and 8 curriculum.
