The school day at Gonzaga Middle School begins at 8:00 a.m. and normally ends at 4:45 p.m. Monday to Thursday (3:30 pm on Friday). All students are required to be in attendance for the entire day and participation in all programming is mandatory.
Participation in Gonzaga Middle School’s year-round program will help to assure academic success. All current students are REQUIRED to participate in the programs designed for their grade level. Acceptance into the next grade level at Gonzaga Middle School is dependent upon success in the required summer programs.

8:50 a.m. – 9:20 a.m - Homeroom time - Writing/Reading
9:20 a.m. – 10:20 a.m - Instruction Time
10:20 a.m. – 10:50 a.m - Snack and student support time
10:50 a.m. – 11:50 p.m - Instruction Time
11:50 p.m. – 12:45 p.m - Lunch and Movement Break
12:45 p.m. – 1:00 p.m - Homeroom time
1:00 p.m. – 3:28 p.m - Instruction Time
3:28 p.m. – 3:40 p.m - Snack
3:40 p.m. – 4:35 p.m - Enrichment/Extra–Curricular Program
4:35 – 4:45 p.m - Homeroom and departure
GMS operates an extended school year. This serves a variety of purposes including: the elimination of learning gaps, access to enrichment, experiential learning and leadership opportunities for students.
Summer programming is mandatory for all students and participation is agreed upon prior to acceptance to Gonzaga Middle School.
